Welcome to Sweat Lab.

Sweat lab is a rehabilitation and personal training business started by me, Kerrie Brown.  I work from my home studio in suburban Mangere bridge to provide small group classes to new mums, and boxing technique and fitness classes.

Background

‘Along came frankie’- I started sweat lab because I wanted to feel strong again after having a baby.  Having always enjoyed being fit and strong, I felt ridiculous when all of a sudden I couldn’t even get up from the floor without a huge amount of effort and I struggled feeling so weak when I needed to be at my strongest as a new mum. But it seems there is not much out there for new mums, let alone something that is tailored to meet the specific demands of a mums day, cradling your baby, feeding your baby, and getting up off the floor multiple times a day.

Why work with Kerrie?

Because in a new lifestyle where everything you do seems to be for your georgeous new baby, you still need to take time for you! Also, I’ve been there. I know what it’s like – I know what it took for you to get here, and how you feel when you finally arrive! You can’t pour from an empty cup, so come over, get settled in, kick out a work out and stay for a cup of tea with other mums who are in the same position! I can also watch your baby while you have a shower, so you don’t have to wait until your partner gets home at the end of the day! Don’t even worry about bringing a towel, I’ve got one for you!

And if boxing is what your into – Then I can help you hammer the bag and escape the daily grind as much as you like. Boxing is the funnest and most challenging sport I have participated in and I can’t wait to share it with you.
